Phase 2

As I had planned, I have pushed the SS to the limit.  These are the Phase 2 modifications.

ESC:
I knew I wanted to drop a hot motor in the car, but that first required an ESC.  I also wanted to choose a very hot motor, so the motor limit on the ESC had to be low.  It also needed reverse.  I would have loved to use a Tekin Rebel, which I've used before and will handle down to 10 turns.  But Tekin is no longer in business, so I paid a little more for the LRP F1 Pro.  This is even better since there is no motor limit!
Motor:
Trinity's P-94's had just come out, and as the next generation in motors, I decided to try it.  I chose an 8 turn, split wind, high variance, quad P-94.  At that point I had never seen a motor below 12 turns in action.  This motor is smokin'!  The speed and power it provides is literally scary.  It makes the car nearly uncontrolable.
Gearing:
I initially put the P-94 in with the stock gearing.  It was actually able to handle it--the motor didn't overheat at all.  That setup was a little to wild, so I went down to 19 teeth on the pinion.
Tires: In phase 1, I had replaced the stock tires with Pro-Line Sedan Hawgs.  They look really cool, but the handling wasn't as good as I had hoped.  I switched to Road Rages instead.  I like to use a treaded tire with good scale realism.  Both Sedan Hawgs and Road Rages fit that bill, but the Road Rages hold the road much better.
Wheels: I had hoped that the inside-out stock wheels would last for a while.  I thought the black rims looked pretty good.  The problem was that they were way too weak.  If the rear tires touched a curb, wall, or even from a hard start, the car had so much power that the axles would break loose from the rim.  Wheels were literally blown off.  The solution was to go with a metal wheel.  Hammad Ghuman (HG) offered the best value, and had very nice looking stuff.  I went with the Carerra wheels.  I may also get some Harcore wheels, or some of the other nice wheels in the future.
Body: In addition to the Lotus Elise (Britney Spears) body, I also picked up a BMW M Coupe.
